My friend Liz, turned me on to a great blog site, called The Pioneer Woman. And I finally started checking it out. And I happened to see she was having a contest today for a great set of cookware. And I thought "what the heck, I'll send an e-mail!" All you had to do to enter the contest was to tell her what you had for dinner last night.... below was my email to her. I thought it was funny, I thought you might get a laugh out of it too!
A friend of mine turned me on to your site, b.c she knows I love photography and i love to cook! Great site! i am still new to it, but i am excited to check out more of it! I actually own my own photography business (www.simpleheartphotography.com)
Well...so i happened onto your site tonight and saw the contest and got excited...and then i saw that you asked for what we had for dinner last night...
you had to ask about last night, huh?!! My husband and I recently moved and are living with friends, and the wife and I have been having a blast cooking together for the past month and a half...finding new recipes almost daily! and some yummy ones at that..... but you had to ask about last night
you couldn't ask about the venison steaks that we had simmering on the stove for the last hour for dinner tonight (it was real yummy by the way!)
you couldn't ask about the chili that i had brewing all day on friday and the sweet cornbread that went with it perfect for the cold rainy day
you couldn't ask about the apple spice pork chops that were finger lickin' good that we made with onion rice
you couldn't ask about the roast that bubbled in the crockpot all day and fell apart on our plates with tenderness that we made a few weeks ago
you couldn't ask about the chicken teriyaki that was the first dish I made here, that the sauce was so good that we wanted to eat it with a spoon
no...you asked about last night....sloppy joes... from a can with french fries... from the freezer! that's what we had last night! What can I say...it was monday!
Hope you are getting some fun entries for this contest...and i hope I win!
