What a beautiful day for a beautiful couple to be married! Jake & Alicen were married on Saturday and it was a blessing to be a part of this special day! Brian was in the wedding, so I was without a second shooter for the day (except for my friend Katie who helped me out during the ceremony-THANKS KATIE!).
Jake, the groom is a funny, witty guy who always has a good story. (he was a groomsman in our wedding, despite the fact that it was his last ND/USC home game of his senior year!) He always has people laughing around him. His beautiful bride Alicen is a a trooper putting up with all his antics They had a great crowed with them in their wedding party, who had us all laughing at the rehearsal dinner.
Jake is a recent Notre Dame grad, and Alicen a recent St. Mary's grad. They have been dating since high school, so you can imagine that everyone was so excited to be there to see them finally head to the altar!
With perfect weather, great colors and fun people, this fabulous couple completed the day to make it memorable! I was just there to take some pictures of it all! =) (click on the image to enlarge it--it's worth it to take a closer look at the jumping picture, just for the great faces!)
They wanted to have some fun with their pictures, so we went to the Fall Festival happening in the church parking lot, to check out the mechanical bull. Went to Coldstone for some ice cream, Starbucks for some Euchre and then finally made our way to the reception at the elegant Mansion at Oak Hill.
Congratulations again Jake and Alicen. Thank you for letting Brian and I be a part of your lives! We are so excited for you two! Know that you are in my prayers as you start your new life together!
