Today we went to a tour of the Sydney Opera house, the most recognized building in the world! We were told that 2 out of 3 people in the world recognize this building!!
They originally thought it would take 3 years and 7 million dollars to build. When it actually took 16 years and 120 million to build!
The architecture of this building was absolutley fascinating!! So many times I said, "I wish my husband could be here!!!!" The organ in the orchestra house had over 10,000 pipes in it!! This is one of, if not the biggest pipe organs in the world!!!!!
The designer of this amazing structure still hasn't seen the completed project in person! He left the project before it was finished and hasn't returned from Denmark (I think) to see it completed.
