What once took hours...

In the early days of Jacob's life it would sometimes take hours to put Jacob down for a nap, now 6 and a half months old, it brings me joy in my heart, when I can put him down for a nap in a matter of minutes, sometimes seconds now!!!

This has not only made it easier for me to put him down for naps when we are home, but when we are on the road. When I went on my trip a few weeks ago by myself, he did great in the car for me, taking his naps. When he was getting tired...paci in mouth, cuddle with burp cloth, dark blanket over his car seat, and he was out! Easy nap times also makes it easier for people other than Mommy to put him down for his nap!

I went out shopping with the in-law women on Black Friday, and Brian and Jacob had some quality father/son time and Brian successfully put him down for two naps! Ta Da!

We have been helping out with the family we live with and their 5 kids, sometimes Brian and I alone with the 5 kids and Jacob...and this experience has given me hope! Hope that we really can handle multiple kids. Not that I ever really doubted our ability, but during those first few weeks with Jacob, I wondered how people ever had more, when one was so much work.....WHAT WAS I THINKING?! Must have been delirium from the drugs of labor! =) We can so do more kids...especially if they are all as easy as Jacob!

I feel as if I should post a picture...well cause he is pretty cute...awake or asleep! (although, he is not really sleeping in this picture...just blinked! haha)
