Making Memories: Color Me Rad

My friend Amanda gets my blog emails (you can too by signing up at the bottom of my posts), and she remembered the one I wrote about the importance of getting pictures taken. This blog came to mind when her and her boyfriend, Daren decided to run the Color Me Rad race in Indianapolis and they wanted to document the event!  I was more than happy to get up on a Saturday morning and come and join in their adventure!  It was so fun to see how excited they were, especially Amanda.  She was so pumped and couldn't wait to start the race.  I had wanted to do this race a few months ago with some friends and it was sold out before we could even sign up.  It just looks like so much fun!!

So, even though I stayed out of the line of color shots, I for sure came home a little blue..hair, clothes and a dusting on the camera.  But it was so worth it!  You can see how much fun we had in the pictures.  Here are a few pages from the album I designed for them

Got a special event you want to remember in pictures?  Let me know!

Documentation of Life Project: 32 Weeks

Nothing better than a tall glass of ice water to keep a pregnant mama cool!  Except for maybe two tall glasses!  CHEERS!

Documentation of Life Project: 30 Weeks

Hurray for 10 weeks to go!!! The baby was so excited that little bambino wanted to play "peek-a-poo" this week! I love pregnant women and how they glow, I love pregnant bellies and being amazed at the life that is growing and moving inside! I am loving this project, especially because it guarantees that I get to spend a few minutes with Carrie each week! She is a delight and a joy and I am so glad I met her (hint: DO NOT MOVE AWAY! And let's do lunch soon so we can have longer conversations!)

Business is good when...

I have 3 events in one day!  It was a great day of joy and celebration!

I started my day off bright and early with the 8th Grade Awards Ceremony at my church St. Louis de Montfort in Fishers.

Once all the awards were handed out and we got some great candids of the graduates that I had a little down time to go home and kiss the boys, the back to church to photograph the wedding of Jason and Angela (Espinosa) Hull.  It was a beautiful wedding mass to celebrate the start of their life together!

After finishing up the formal pictures with their family and friends, I headed out to the Bridgewater Club to capture the lovely ladies and gentlemen who were all dolled up for the Mayor's Yellow Tie Ball for the city of Westfield!  Everyone looked great and it was really fun to see how people took the "yellow tie" theme to heart, where black tie is optional, yellow tie is preferred! The story behind the ball is that Mayor Cook is colorblind and the only color he can see is yellow.  (I even went out to buy my husband a yellow tie to join me for the evening, but sadly, he was home sick.)

Here is just a small preview of the great day I had!  Tomorrow and Sunday will follow in similar photography fashion, as I have 2 engagement sessions to do!  Very excited!

I think they were my favorite of the night!
